Marisa (Ginger) Tontaveetong is an award‑winning, Oscar‑longlisted animation director and producer based in Atlanta. She is the creative chief officer and art/animation director at Slothique LLC and serves on advisory boards for Decide DeKalb, Gwinnett Technical College’s Game Development program, the Duluth Public Arts Commission, and Fulton County Schools CTAE. A 2024 Women in Television and Film Atlanta Gala honoree and President’s Volunteer Service Award recipient, she is also operations director of UNESCO‑affiliated ASIFA‑South. Originally from Thailand, she holds an MFA from SCAD and a B.Tech from Bangkok University, with 12+ years on projects for brands such Mattel, Hulu, etc.

Marisa (Ginger) Tontaveetong is a multidisciplinary, award‑winning animation director and producer, recognized on the Oscar longlist and honored with a Bronze Telly Award. She is based in Atlanta, Georgia, and was celebrated as an honoree at the 2024 Women in Television and Film Atlanta 50th Annual Gala. She is also a proud recipient of the President’s Volunteer Service Award for her community and industry leadership.
Originally from Thailand, Marisa is the art and animation director and creative chief officer at Slothique LLC, a content creation studio with clients across the US and Asia. She currently serves on the Decide DeKalb Development Authority Advisory Board, the Gwinnett Technical College Game Development Advisory Board, the Duluth Public Arts Commission, and the Fulton County Schools CTAE Advisory Committee.
She is the operations director of the UNESCO‑affiliated ASIFA‑South International Animation Society–South, where she has championed regional and international animation initiatives. Marisa holds an MFA in Animation from SCAD, where she earned both Student Leader of the Year and the Coordinators' Choice Award, and a B.Tech in Computer Graphics/Multimedia from Bangkok University, where she received a three‑year full academic scholarship and was inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame.
Across 12 years of design experience, she has contributed to major brands including Unilever and Mattel. Her industry leadership includes having served as ACM SIGGRAPH’s Early Career Development Chair, strategy advisor to the executive committee, and Producer of the SIGGRAPH Asia 2017 Computer Animation Festival. She has juried for the Oscar‑qualifying Atlanta Film Festival, the Southeast Regional Emmy® Awards, and contributed to the Oz Sourcebook for animation and postproduction.
